Staying down to earth despite huge fame, the JYJ members will donate all of the pay received from the Korea Brand & Entertainment Expo 2012 (KBEE2012) to UNICEF.
According
to C-Jes Entertainment on February 26, the JYJ members will be heading
to the Korea Committee for UNICEF in Changsung-dong in Seoul to donate
the pay that JYJ earned as the spokesmen for KBEE2012.
Kim Jae Joong will be representing all three JYJ members.
“Through KBEE2012
last year, we were happy to be part of a place of exchange between
Korea and Japan, so we want create an opportunity to help people who are
in need,” said Kim Jae Joong. “Through the donations to UNICEF, we
wanted to send a small hand of hope to children who are suffering from
famine and poverty around the world.”
The president of the Korea
Committee for UNICEF, Park Dong Eun said, “Even with their busy
schedules, the JYJ members, as the spokesperson for national activities,
have participated in the ‘AWOO Doll Campaign’ and even spread the
message of sharing to many fans, but we were very surprised that they
didn’t stop there and decided to donate their entire pay.”
“We believe their precious hearts will blow warmth into this cold society.”
The donation event will happen on March 5.
